Lana Labs GmbH

LANA Process Mining – The solution for automated process analysis
Lana Labs is a leading process mining company enabling its customers to leverage the full potential of their processes and the opportunities of the Internet of Things. With the possibility to collect and connect the data along our value chains we can now use the digital traces of processes in order to automatically uncover potential for savings, performance improvements or compliance risks. LANA Process Mining puts an end to inefficient manual process analysis and brings transparency into every process.

Listen to the story of your process data
By visualizing the process data the actual process execution, which is usually not graspable, becomes fully transparent. LANA processes data of any IT System and matches it with an ideal state. An automated target-actual analysis as well as an automated root cause analysis of process deviations are executed to get new insights in hidden optimization potential. Within the shortest time, LANA delivers the basis for making fact-based decisions on improvement measures.

About Lana Labs
The Berlin-based startup Lana Labs works on innovative solutions for the process analysis of tomorrow. The company was founded in 2016 as a spin-off form the renowned Hasso-Plattner-Institute in Potsdam, where the research for their unique process mining solution LANA was conducted. The web-based software is offered as desktop, SaaS or on premise subscription and will change the way traditional business process management is done.

The Department of Computational Statistics at the TU Dortmund

The Institute of Computational Statistics at TU Dortmund University has carried out research on methods for quality improvement in co-operation with partners from engineering for over 10 years. The focus has been on statistical methods for the analysis of temporal data and the prediction of given classes (classification).

For over 10 years, the institute has also been a co-host of the annual international “Workshop on Quality Improvement Methods” in Dortmund. In addition, the institute gives the lectures “Statistical methods in quality management” and “The (Lean) Six Sigma method” for the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The latter is the theoretical part of the qualification towards a Six Sigma greenbelt.

Institute of Production Systems (IPS)

The Institute for Production Systems (IPS) conducts research under the direction of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jochen Deuse in the field of analysis and design of production systems and combines the established approaches of industrial engineering with innovative approaches from the fields of industrial data science, automation technology, digital factory and lean production.

Around 40 employees from the disciplines of mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, business mathematics, statistics, logistics and computer science conduct both basic and applied research in interdisciplinary teams. The IPS transfers the gained knowledge into academic teaching and supports industrial partners with a wide range of consulting and services. The institute’s work focuses on the research and design of technical and socio-technical work systems, from which four research areas are derived. In all research areas, the topics Industrial Data Science (application of data mining and machine learning methods in the context of industrial production), simulation of production systems and inherent material flows and variability management are applied.

In addition to teaching and research in the areas mentioned above, the institute offers a wide range of consulting and services within the scope of industrial contract research. Learn more about the IPS on these pages.
